These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Taromi, an online tarot-reading service with AI-generated interpretations (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Contracting Party

These Terms are between you and Zorka Apps Limited, operating Taromi from Hong Kong.

No. 5, 17/F, Strand 50, 50 Bonham Strand, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong

1. Eligibility and Accounts

The Service is intended for people aged 18 and over. By using it, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

You may use the Service as a guest, within the guest daily reading allowance, or create an account with an email address and password or, when available, through Google sign-in. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been used without authorization.

2. Guest Use and Daily Limits

Guests may request a limited number of readings per day without registering. Registered accounts on the free plan have a higher daily allowance, and a Premium subscription raises it further — see Section 3. The current allowance for each plan is listed on our Pricing page at /pricing. Limits are counted per calendar day (UTC) and enforced per session or account and, for guests, also by other technical signals to deter working around the limit.

3. Premium Subscription

Taromi Premium is a subscription priced at $9.99 USD per month, or $79.99 USD per year if you choose yearly billing. It raises your daily reading allowance and adds Premium features, such as deep readings, additional reading styles, more follow-up questions on each reading, spreads you design yourself and, if you switch it on, a reader that can remember your past readings. Both billing periods include the same features. What each plan includes is listed on our Pricing page at /pricing.

Free trial for new accounts. A newly registered account may receive a one-time free Premium trial: one Premium reading (a deep reading or a Premium reading style) and one additional follow-up question, without payment details. It is offered once per email address, including after an account is deleted and registered again, is not available to accounts that have or had Premium, ends once used, and does not turn into a paid subscription.

Invitations and promo codes. Every account has a personal invite link. A new account created through someone else's invite link receives 7 days of Premium instead of the free trial above, under the same once-per-email-address rule. When that account first pays for a subscription, the account that invited it receives 30 days of Premium, up to 12 times in any 12 months; inviting yourself or an account that already existed earns nothing. If that first payment is refunded in full or disputed, the reward is not given or, if it already was, is taken back: the days of it not yet used are removed. A promo code we publish gives the number of days of Premium stated with it, once per account, while the code is valid and has uses left. Premium days from invitations or promo codes need no payment details, do not turn into a paid subscription, have no cash value and cannot be transferred; if you already pay for Premium, they start when your paid subscription ends. Discount codes for the subscription price are entered on the Stripe checkout page and apply as shown there before you pay. We may end the program at any time without affecting days already received, and may withhold rewards obtained through abuse, such as accounts created only to collect them.

Billing and automatic renewal. The subscription is billed in advance for the billing period you choose: monthly or yearly. By starting it, you authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method the price of that period ($9.99 USD for a month or $79.99 USD for a year), plus any applicable tax shown at checkout before you pay, when you subscribe and again at the start of each following period. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can switch between monthly and yearly billing from your account page. A switch to yearly billing takes effect at once: you are charged the yearly price minus a credit for the unused part of your current month. A switch to monthly billing takes effect at the end of the year you have paid for. Stripe's customer portal shows the amount before you confirm.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account page ("Manage subscription"), which opens Stripe's customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals: you are not charged again, and Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, whether a month or a year.

Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for a partly used period, except where applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at [email protected]; we will review the request and, where a refund is due, return it to the original payment method through Stripe. A full refund of the payment for your current period ends Premium and cancels the subscription at once.

Failed payments and disputes. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it for a limited period, during which Premium stays active; if the payment still cannot be collected, the subscription ends. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, Premium is suspended and the subscription is cancelled while the dispute is handled.

We sell the subscription directly and use Stripe as our payment processor; Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing, and Stripe — not us — collects and stores your card data.

4. Your Questions and Readings

You are responsible for the question you submit. Do not submit content that infringes another person's rights, violates privacy rights, or breaks applicable law. Avoid including in your question, or in any support message, sensitive personal details you would not want stored with the reading.

You give Taromi the limited permission needed to store, transmit, and process your question and the resulting reading to provide the Service, including sending your question to the AI provider described in the Privacy Policy to generate the interpretation.

5. Nature of Readings

Taromi draws tarot cards and uses artificial intelligence to generate an interpretation of them against your question. Readings are provided for entertainment and self-reflection only. They are not medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice, and are not a substitute for consulting a qualified professional. Interpretations may be inaccurate, repetitive, or unavailable because of technical or provider limitations.

You are responsible for how you use a reading. We do not guarantee that an interpretation is accurate, complete, or available without interruption.

6. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Service to request or submit content that:

  • Is unlawful or infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • Sexualizes or exploits minors;
  • Promotes self-harm, non-consensual acts, or extreme violence; or
  • Promotes hate, discrimination, or abuse.

Our Acceptable Use Policy at /acceptable-use sets out these rules in more detail. We may refuse a request, or suspend or terminate access, where we reasonably believe these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, applicable law, or a provider's content rules have been violated.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party services, including DeepInfra and the AI model provider it routes to for reading interpretations and voice input, Cloudflare as our network provider, our hosting provider, ZeptoMail for transactional email, PostHog for analytics and error reports, and Google when Google sign-in is used. The Privacy Policy describes what each of them receives. A provider may reject or fail to process a request under its own rules or due to an outage.

Taromi is an independent product that generates reading interpretations using a third-party AI model through its API. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by that model's provider, and any model name mentioned in the Service refers only to the integration we use, not to a partnership or endorsement.

Stripe is our payment processor: it processes the recurring Premium charge ($9.99 USD a month or $79.99 USD a year) and hosts the customer portal where you manage, switch or cancel the subscription.

8. Taromi Intellectual Property

Taromi's website, branding, card artwork, software, and underlying Service are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with them. They do not grant rights to Taromi's name, branding, artwork, or software.

9. Disclaimers and Liability

The Service and its readings are provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by applicable law, Taromi disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Taromi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or use arising from the Service or a reading. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Suspension, Termination, and Changes

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete a registered account through the Service; the data handling consequences of that action are described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, the Service is misused, payment obligations are not met, or we are required to do so by law.

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post the updated version here with a revised effective date. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
