Choosing the right love reading
Love & Feelings (free)
Three cards — you, them, the connection. Start here to reflect on a connection, whether it has been named out loud or not.
Future Partner or Relationship Path
Five cards each. Future Partner reads toward someone not yet met; Relationship Path reads the trajectory of a relationship you're already in.
Reconciliation
Six cards, for a relationship that has already ended and a real decision about reaching back out.
How to phrase a love question
Name the relationship as specifically as you can without over-explaining: "what is happening between us right now" reads better than a paragraph of backstory. The cards work from the question and the drawn cards, not from history you did not write down.
Ask about the connection, not about controlling it. "Where do we stand" and "how do I make them feel the same way" can grow from the same hope but are different questions — the second is not one tarot, or any honest reading, can answer, because it asks for leverage over another person rather than clarity about the situation.
If you are choosing between the four love spreads and are not sure which fits, start with Love & Feelings. It is the widest-angle of the four, and its result usually makes clear whether what you actually need next is a deeper read on a future connection, a current relationship's path, or a reconciliation.
What upright and reversed mean in a love reading
Upright cards in the "you" and "them" positions generally suggest feeling that is present and flowing normally — openness, warmth, genuine investment. Reversed does not usually mean the opposite feeling; it more often means the same feeling blocked, guarded, or not yet spoken out loud. A reversed Two of Cups, for instance, does not mean no connection — it means the connection is out of balance, not absent.
In the "connection" or "path" positions, reversed cards often point at timing or communication rather than doom: a delay, a conversation not yet had, a signal misread in either direction. The honest response to a reversed card here is usually to ask a plain question of the other person, not to assume the worst.
A card that looks difficult — Three of Swords, The Tower, Ten of Swords — is read for what it is: a real, sometimes painful part of the story, not a verdict on whether the relationship is doomed. These cards describe endings and hard truths honestly, and honestly also describe what tends to come after them.
Reading about someone else with care
Every love reading on Taromi reads what the cards suggest about a connection, never a factual claim about what another person actually thinks or feels. Treat any line about "them" as an informed possibility to hold lightly, not as something you now know for certain about someone else's inner life.
The readings are written to help you reflect and decide for yourself, never to script what to say to change someone's mind. If a reading ever reads like it is telling you how to manipulate or pressure another person, that is not what this is for — ask again with a question about your own next step instead.
This is entertainment and self-reflection, not relationship therapy or legal advice — for anything involving safety, custody, or a serious breakdown of trust, a card is a starting point for your own thinking, not a substitute for a therapist, mediator, or other qualified professional.
From Love & Feelings to the deeper spreads
If Love & Feelings leaves you wanting to explore where a connection could be headed, Relationship Path lays out five positions — from where you stand today to where things are heading if nothing changes. If the reading points at absence rather than presence, Future Partner turns the same care toward who and what might be ahead instead.
If the relationship in question has already ended and you are weighing whether to reach back out, Reconciliation is built for exactly that: six positions that look honestly at why it ended, what each side brought to that, what has changed since, and how open the door genuinely looks before you decide anything.
Questions, answered
Which love reading should I start with?
Love & Feelings — it is free, three cards, and the widest-angle of the four. Its result usually points you toward whichever deeper spread actually fits your situation.
Can the cards tell me what someone else is really thinking?
No reading — tarot or otherwise — can know another person's private thoughts with certainty. Every reading about someone else is framed as a tendency to consider, not a fact about them.
Is the Future Partner reading only for people who are single?
It's built for anyone curious about a connection they haven't met yet, whether that's someone specific they're wondering about or an open question about what's ahead.
What is the difference between Relationship Path and Reconciliation?
Relationship Path is for a relationship that is currently active and reads its likely trajectory. Reconciliation is specifically for a relationship that has already ended, and the decision of whether to reach back out.
Why does a reversed card in a love reading feel less scary than I expected?
Because reversed usually means blocked, delayed, or unspoken rather than the literal opposite of the upright meaning — a reversed positive card is not automatically a bad sign.
Are the deeper love spreads free?
Love & Feelings is free. Future Partner, Relationship Path, and Reconciliation are premium readings, reflecting the extra depth of a five- or six-card spread.
Can I ask about someone I am not currently in contact with?
Yes — Reconciliation is built specifically for that situation. Love & Feelings and Relationship Path work best for an active connection you are currently in.
Will the reading tell me what to say to get someone back?
No. The reading offers honest reflection on the situation and, in Reconciliation's final position, one respectful way to approach reaching out — never persuasion tactics or a script for changing someone's mind.
